EPDM – is abbreviated from Ethylene Propylene Diene Mornomer, and as its not the easiest name to remember, its generally known to everyone as EPDM. Although a synthetic rubber, it has the material qualities of natural rubber, with water resistance, high elasticity, good flexibility and tear strength. However, unlike natural rubber, this product can be modified to suit a particular situation, and the specification to meet the individuals application requirements.
The popularity of this particular roofing system has exploded over the last few years, where more and more householders are realising that this system of flat roofing is the modern answer. The product is generally fitted in one piece, thereby reducing the problems usually associated with other flat roofing systems of tearing, cracking and peeling joints.
